One of the first computers was a loom. One pixel is one square.

My work is about letting the digital world meet the material world. It’s about letting the accuracy of the computer meet the qualities of the fabric. It’s about letting the illusion meet reality.

I work with distorted grids which I create in the computer. Digitally I can shape the grid, create illusions of three-dimensionalities. By printing the images on a stretch fabric the illusions come to life. The fabric can be shaped as well as the grid could be shaped in the computer. But maybe under different conditions?
